It Takes a Village Community Baby Shower is collecting baby items for up to 25 new or expecting mothers until April 10. Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation is hosting the event, hoping to alleviate some of the financial burden felt by parents in need.

Needed items include:
- Diapers
- Diaper bags
- Baby thermometers
- Pacifiers
Receiving blankets - Baby clothes
Gently used items are welcome. All items must be received by April 10.
Organizers have compiled an Amazon Wish list of suggested donation items. You can also order items online and ship them directly to the Roy Haynes Recreation Center.

You can drop off donations for the Hillsborough Community Baby Shower through April 10 at the University Area Community Complex at 14013 N. 22nd St., Tampa, FL 33613. Donors need to first call Carrie Albano at (813) 836-1839 to arrange a drop-off time.
Expecting mothers
Expecting and new mothers seeking support should contact Carrie Albano at (813) 836-1839 or Sara Roman (813) 558-5212 (ext. 403) to qualify to receive donation assistance on the day of the event. Please note that a maximum of 25 expectant/new mothers can register. The deadline to register is April 10.
Donated items will be distributed at 10 a.m. on April 15 at the University Area Community Complex (14013 N. 22nd St., Tampa, FL 33613). Information on healthy pregnancy and babies also will be available at the event.
