Hillsborough County Bar features renowned civil rights lawyer

Theodore M. Shaw, Julius L. Chambers Distinguished Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Civil Rights at UNC Chapel Hill.

The Hillsborough County Bar Association’s upcoming quarterly membership luncheon will feature a distinguished speaker who formerly served in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division and led the NAACP’s Legal Defense Fund.

Professor Theodore Shaw is now the Julius L. Chambers Distinguished Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Civil Rights at the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill. He will speak to HCBA members and other attendees at the January 19 luncheon.

HCBA’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee will also present Justice and Diversity Lifetime Achievement Awards to Delano Stewart and retired Judge E.J. Salcines.

Registration for this virtual event is free to HCBA members and $45 for non-members.
