The Brandon Ballet is taking over the Henry B. Plant Museum for Thanksgiving! Dancers from the Professional company and the Student Company will present performance installations from their upcoming production of The Nutcracker. The performance is free with museum admission.

The Nutcracker in the Grand Salon

The Nutcracker debuted as a ballet in 1892 and has remained a holiday classic in all the years since. The story of The Nutcracker is loosely based on the E.T.A. Hoffmann fantasy story. It’s about a girl who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve and wages a battle against the evil Mouse King. This event is being presented in the Grand Salon of Plant Hall, just outside the Museum on Saturday, November 26 at 2 pm.

  • Sunday, December 11, 2:00p & 5:30p

The performance will be held at Riverview High School.
