Florida has one of the nation’s fastest-growing veteran populations in the nation. With so many military members wishing to retire from service in the Sunshine State, Governor Desantis is on a mission to make the state a place where they can thrive. One of the ways Desantis and the state are achieving this mission is through the Paychecks for Patriots event held every year close to Veteran’s Day.
CareerSource Pinellas is proud to host the Paychecks for Patriots event on November 30th, 2021 at 13805 58 th St. North Clearwater, FL 33760. Paychecks for Patriots is a special statewide hiring fair is a partnership between the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the Florida National Guard, the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs, participating Florida employers, and CareerSource Florida regions throughout the state. As part of Governor DeSantis’ mission to be the most veteran-friendly state in the nation, this event connects veterans with career opportunities after their years in service.
Over the past 8 years, more than 6,756 veteran candidates and military family members have participated in Paychecks for Patriots events. Veterans and their families bring dedication, a special set of skills, and diversity to Florida’s workforce. CareerSource Pinellas is excited to serve those who have served our country. Through Paychecks for Patriots, companies will be connected with talented, well-trained veterans to join their teams.
This event will also provide many veterans with meaningful employment from businesses that are dedicated to assisting veterans and their families find careers that match their unique skills and aspirations. Through meaningful work opportunities, these businesses can give back to those in the service, and help them transition into civilian life with support and resources along the way.
