People with a medical marijuana card may soon buy weed from their local convenient store. Green Thumb Industries Inc has just partnered with Circle K to open 10 mini dispensaries throughout the state. Green Thumb will lease space from Circle K in Florida in order to open Rise Dispensaries. These weed dispensaries will be within Circle K and allow those with a medical marijuana card to buy products with ease.
Rise Dispensaries in Circle K
Rise Dispensaries are owned by Green Thumb Industries, which is a national cannabis consumer packaged goods company. Green Thumb entered the Florida market in 2018 and currently owns and operates medical cannabis retail stores throughout the state. Rise Dispensaries sell the cannabis products created by Green Thumb, including:
- RYTHM premium flower
- Dogwalkers pre-rolls
- Gummies
- Shine vapes
Since there are over 600 Circle K locations in Florida, the company will be able to offer their products all throughout the state.

“The opening of RISE Express stores at Circle K locations is a game-changer. Convenience is a strong channel in retail, and people want more access to cannabis,” said Green Thumb Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ben Kovler. “The new RISE Express model is a huge step forward in making it easier and more efficient for patients to purchase high-quality cannabis as part of their everyday routine when stopping by their local convenience store.”
The products available at these retail stores will come from the Company’s new 28-acre cultivation facility in Ocala that will be operational by the end of 2022. Click here to learn more about Florida’s medical marijuana program.
