CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas (CSHP) will be holding a Veterans Networking Group (VNG) meeting in person on Tuesday, August 13, at CSHP’s Tampa Center. This is a recurring monthly meeting, to be held every second Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
VNG is a place for Veterans, Transitioning Service Members, National Guard and Reserve Service Members, and Eligible Spouses to have an opportunity to network for resources, best practices, and career development. It’s a great way to connect with guest speakers and expand professional networks.
What is Veterans Networking Group?
VNG is a place for Military Job Seekers to come together to build upon personal and professional connections. Together, they discuss how the workforce priority of services can assist with any job opportunities, education/training and resources that are available in Hillsborough County.

VNG is designed to provide veterans seeking employment or looking to enhance their career opportunities with resources, hear what other veterans are experiencing, learn best practices, and to provide support and guidance. Participants can meet with Local Veterans Services Representatives, CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas recruiters, career coaches, and more to obtain this valuable information and insight into workforce trends, hiring practices, job opportunities, resources, and for building your career network.
This month’s guest speakers include Lillie Ibarra from Disney and Acquelyn Kindred from Hillsborough County. They will present Veteran hiring initiatives at their organizations, positions available, and the application process.
Ted Davis from CSHP will be presenting the topic: Transitioning Military Skills to Civilian Job Market.
