Downtown Tampa Offers Free Fitness Classes

As the weather cools off, something special is heating up in Downtown Tampa. Five days a week, you can now join a fitness class with the Downtown Skyline, Tampa Riverwalk, and the University of Tampa as your beautiful backdrop. Classes range from pilates to HIIT and all are free!

Experienced instructors will stretch and sweat with you as sunset approaches at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. The fun, free classes will be on Sundays to Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. The Tampa Downtown Partnership is presenting this program to help more people get active.

“Everyone is welcome, from first-timer to fitness buff,” said Lynda Remund, President and CEO of the Tampa Downtown Partnership. “Tampa’s Downtown continues to grow as a fantastic place to live, work, and play—and adding new Free Fitness in the Park classes helps everybody play with a purpose: getting active and staying fit.”
