A giant, yawning hole that suddenly appears in the ground to swallow up everything in its path sounds like a supernatural threat from some Atomic Age monster movie.

To determine whether the identified sinkholes are dormant or active, G3 Group has also developed a highly innovative detection and monitoring device – an offshoot of MERIT called Sinkhole Alert, which can reach depths of well over 100 feet in the subsurface and provide property owners with a crucial “heads up” if the sinkhole becomes active.
