The Tampa Bay Innovation Center (TBIC) will host its third Innovation Showcase April 28 featuring graduates of its Accelerator cohort and will include panelists who will discuss understanding the various markets open to businesses and how they work.

TBIC, a business incubator and coworking entrepreneurial center, will showcase the following five B2B accelerator graduates:

  1. BlockSpaces (Seminole), currently building a middleware platform that will enable legacy IT infrastructure to leverage the decentralized features of blockchain technology;
  2. Code 1 Medical Devices (St. Petersburg), a new and innovative medical airway device for upper endoscopy procedures;
  3. Cope Notes (Tampa), a service for encouraging mindfulness and well-being through daily text messages;
  4. Neuron Education (Boston), an online marketplace delivering peace of mind for busy parents by connecting them with experienced tutors and virtual caregivers; and
  5. RB Technologies (Tampa), supply chain software for the nutritional supplements and food industries that delivers greater quality control and transparency by leveraging blockchain technology to track ingredients and manufacturing processes.

“Sustainable startup ecosystems are built one product and one company at a time,” said Ken Evans, Managing Director of TBIC. “Introducing programs like this to the general community lowers the barriers to success for all startups and encourages businesses to view these startups as potential partners.”

Guest panelists include: Joy Randels, Founder & CEO of New Market Partners, Mark Swanson, Managing Director of Lane Five Ventures, and Travis Milks, Managing Partner of Topmark Partners.

The virtual event takes place from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Those interested can register online.
