Leadership Tampa Accepting Applications

Leadership Tampa is accepting applications for 2023. It’s an intensive executive leadership program that introduces a diverse group of participants to the major facets of the greater community. Applications are due by May 9, at 5 p.m.

What is Leadership Tampa?

Founded by the Tampa Bay Chamber in the 1970s, members of the program meet every other week in educational sessions, tours and candid conversations with top-level business, civic, and government leaders for an interactive and behind the scenes look at Tampa Bay. Participants get a “behind-the-scenes” look sectors of the Tampa Bay area, including:

  • First responders
  • Tourism
  • Military
  • Economic Development
  • Education
  • Arts

Leadership Tampa challenges members to see their community as they never have before. The selection process is rigorous and competitive for the 50 seats available in each class. Some requirements of the program include:

  • Must live or work in the Tampa Bay area
  • Preferred 20 years work experience
  • Must be a Tampa Bay Chamber member
  • Attending an in-person interview
  • Commitment and motivation to serve the Tampa Bay area

Tuition cost is $5,000 although there are scholarship opportunities are available. All scholarship applicants must have a demonstrated history of volunteerism in Tampa or elsewhere and meet all other Leadership Tampa application criteria. Learn more here.
