New facility amenities
Having a space dedicated space for mental health improvement makes a significant difference in the services NAMI can provide and the impact we can have on the community. Here are some in-person services that will be offered:
Education/Training
Peer-to-Peer is an education course on recovery for any person living with a mental health condition. The course is designed to teach the individual more about their mental illness. And ways to prevent relapse and live in recovery.
Support Services
Connection Recovery Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for adults living with mental illness. The individual will gain insight from hearing the challenges and successes of others. And the groups are led by NAMI-trained facilitators who have similar lived-experiences.
Also, the NAMI Information & Resource Helpline, offers the community information regarding behavioral health, including all of NAMI signature programs. Between 70 and 90 calls are received monthly. The helplines are monitored by staff and volunteers who have been trained in helpline support and who have lived experience, connecting with the caller, and disseminating information.
