Pinellas County Opens Doors To Community for Annual Career Fair

Pinellas County offers career opportunities of all types, from engineering and finance to customer service, animal control, and more. Their annual career fair will help match qualified applicants with fantastic positions that offer benefits and the ability to grow within the Pinellas County system. With the New Year comes new opportunities for people and communities to grow. Pinellas County is taking steps to foster this growth by hosting their annual Career Fair on Tuesday, Jan. 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the St. Petersburg College EpiCenter, 13805 58th St. N., Clearwater. The expo will include current and future job openings as well as intern and volunteer opportunities throughout the Pinellas County system. 

Career hunters curious about working for Pinellas County can talk to hiring managers about current and future full-time positions, internships, and volunteer opportunities in a variety of fields. They can learn about the many advantages of working for Pinellas County, including an outstanding health and retirement benefits package and career growth opportunities.

Pinellas County is actively seeking top talent to fill open positions in 911 Telecommunications, Animal Control, Auditing, Call Center, Communications, Court Professionals, Customer Service, Engineering, Field and Craft Work, Finance/Accounting, Information Technology, Maintenance, Mechanics, Parks, Permitting, Procurement, Project Management, Public Works, Records Management, Tax Collection, Utilities and more. Representatives from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and CareerSource Pinellas will also be in attendance.

Hiring managers and human resources teams will be on hand from various county divisions. Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes. On-site interviews will be offered for some positions. Future positions will also be advertised so that job seekers can see what is possible within the Pinellas County system. 

Pinellas County makes a special effort to help veterans find employment after service. Certain servicemembers and veterans, and the spouses and family members of the servicemembers and veterans, receive preference and priority in employment by the state and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled. Interested veterans should bring their DD-214 or appropriate veteran’s preference documentation to the job fair where they can find great post-service careers to continue their service within the community.
