Sarasota Bay Runner Trolley connects Downtown Sarasota and Sarasota Keys

The City of Sarasota is offering a new way for residents and tourists to enjoy the city’s hottest destinations — The Sarasota Bay Runner Trolley. From the beaches to the shops downtown, this public transit system is aimed to bring new business and life to Sarasota.

The Sarasota Bay Runner trolley is an effort to enhance the tourist and resident experience. The trolley will help commuters with faster travel times, easy access and reduced traffic throughout the downtown area. The city launched the trolley in partnership with CPR Medical Transportation.

Stops include:

  • Downtown Sarasota
  • St. Armand’s Circle

  • Longboat Key

The city has prioritized access for all, and has equipped each trolley with two wheelchair positions and a wheelchair lift. There’s complimentary paratransit service within ¾ mile from the Bay Runner trolley service.  Paratransit riders must register and schedule rides at least 24 hours in advance by calling CPR Medical Transport at 866-212-7771.

The Bay Runner Trolley runs from 8 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.
