More about Susan K. Spurgeon
Spurgeon has more than 35 years of experience representing businesses and individuals from a wide range of industries in real property litigation, including disputes involving easements, right of access, quiet title, survey retracement, adverse possession, partition and ejectment. Her environmental experience includes representing clients in Superfund litigation, wetland impact permitting, dock permitting and riparian rights disputes, and contamination cleanup and closure.

Community involvement
Spurgeon is a member of The Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. She serves on its Executive Council and as Vice Chair of the Problems Study Committee, in addition to being a member of the Eminent Domain Committee. Spurgeon is also an active member of the Tampa community. She represents on the Hillsborough County Bar Association, as well as the Tampa Bay History Center, Tampa Theatre, South Seminole Heights Community Association, and the Seminole Heights Bike Club.

Spurgeon received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of St. Francis. She received her law degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Florida and Illinois as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois; and the U.S. Supreme Court.
