Speer Dream Foundation Awards Generous Contribution to Tampa Bay Arts Scene

Speer Dream Foundation is proud to announce the presentation of a significant donation to the Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts, an organization dedicated to supporting arts programming for the entire community. The Speer Dream Foundation is a faith-based philanthropic organization committed to making a meaningful impact in the Tampa Bay region,

The check presentation ceremony took place at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater, marking a momentous occasion in a shared commitment to fostering creativity and artistic development among young people. They presented a check for $130,000 to Bill Edwards, Founder & CEO of the Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts, underscoring both organizations’ dedication to enriching the lives of youth through access to quality arts education.

“We are blessed to be a part of the important work the Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts does with the youth in our community,” shared Lisa Vickers, CEO/Executive Trustee for Speer Dream Foundation. “Supporting programs that integrate arts into education to help children thrive is directly tied to our mission.”

The donation will be utilized for the operational and programmatic needs of the Class Acts Children’s Program. The funding directly supports continued delivery of high-quality arts experiences to children, empowering them to explore their creativity, expand their horizons and develop essential skills for success in life. 

“I can’t thank the Speer Dream Foundation enough for their work and for supporting our efforts to further the arts through Live shows, youth workshops, festivals, and summer camps. After all these years of running our Foundation, people are starting to notice us and the impact we are making. Our Foundation continues to thrive through the support of organizations like the Speer Dream Foundation,” said Bill Edwards, Founder & CEO, Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts.

Earlier this week, the organization announced over $2.3 million in grants awarded to twenty-one local nonprofit organizations serving the local community.  Providing support to nonprofit organizations in the Tampa Bay region semiannually, Speer Dream Foundation seeks to address critical community needs while empowering and enabling individuals.
