The city of Tampa is ranking high again — this time by Uber. The ride-sharing app released data revealing the best and worst customer ratings by city. Tampa and some other states in the South have some of the best Uber customers. On the other hand, some of the largest cities in the U.S. fell short.
Tampa’s Uber rider ratings
Tampa’s comes in at number seven on the list of top 10 highest average rider ratings among large U.S. cities. Here is the complete list:

- St. Louis
- Nashville
- Salt Lake City
- Kansas City
- Sacremento
- Tampa Bay
- Charlotte
- Las Vegas
- Portland
Drivers rate passengers on a scale from one to five stars. Similar to how passengers rate their drivers. The ratings are based on these major factors — cleanliness, punctuality, safety, and respect for the driver and fellow passengers.
Drivers have shared what really affects their ratings. Apparently, slamming the door is a huge deduction. You may slam the door on accident but try to be aware. Drivers constantly cite door slamming as a major reason they deduct stars. Other ways to improve your ratings include cleaning up after yourself and buckling up.
