The St. Pete SunRunner.

The St. Pete SunRunner, a bus that travels between Downtown St. Pete and St. Pete Beach, is open for business. Here’s what you need to know before taking a ride on the SunRunner:

It’s free

For real! For the first six months of the SunRunner’s service, from its launch through April 2023, fares are paid by PSTA. No need to book an Uber or Lyft or pay for a parking spot downtown or at the beach.

There’s an app

And it can help you a lot with planning your trip. Here’s what you do. Download the Transit App or visit the PSTA Trip Planner, enter your starting location and destination to plan your trip, then wait at your selected SunRunner stop.

FYI, SunRunner buses will arrive every 15 minutes from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and every 30 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight Sunday-Saturday.

Available amenities

All SunRunner buses offer free Wi-Fi, digital displays, and charging stations at every seat. SunRunner buses also have level boarding, and three bike racks plus standing room for cyclists on board.
